That's the word on the street, but not until after the first of the year; they're planning on putting one on the LGW route as well.

Decision made

Thanks to all for the great advice. It seems that MXP would be the clear favorite.

But there's now a new wrinkle. To satisfy fare rules, I need to stay in Europe Saturday night. THe airline is happy to let me do that either in Belgrade or at my transit point (CDG or MXP). Since I have friends in Paris, I'm likely to do that.

Would you stay in Belgrade the extra night, or go visit your friends? Your comments are welcome here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...59#post4819059.

Thanks again for the great responses.

I disagree with the majority. MXP is one of the most delay prone airports in the world. It is foggy a lot in the winter and very unreliable. In fact, in my business, when we need to go to Milan, our travel department will book us into Zurich and then we'll take the train. Believe it or not, this is not uncommon for Milan business trips.

You'll be on an ER4 from MXP-BEG, just a warning.
If you could go EWR-MXP-BEG-CDG-EWR you'd be fine as CDG is lousy for transits.

I'd reccomend MXP over CDG in all cases, CDG is lousy compared to other airports. NEver been to MXP, but it should be better than CDG, + a small Embraer jet to BEG
