Newbie with seat problems

Hello all, I am new to flyertalk. I will be travelling EWR-CDG on a 777 and FCO-EWWR on a 764, both this summer. My question is if anyone has any seat reccomendations for me and if anyone has ever been on these planes before (777 and 764 regular version)
