Changing Terminals at IAH

I have a connection at IAH from UA terminal A to CO Express terminal B. I've never been to IAH before.

I only have about 40 minutes assuming all goes well. Can I stay airside or do I have to go thru the security again? Looking at the map it looks like the airport ain't laid out very well...is it a long walk from A to B?

I hope some of you CO experts can help me out.

You will have to re-clear security. 40 minutes will be mighty tight. The best thing to do is go down into the basement of terminal A and catch the underground train to terminal B.
