Just taking it to us

In the past several years, whenever I'd search CO fares from the west coast to asia, there would be fares in H class and numerous fares in K class. In fact, H an K were pretty much the only (except for low peak season) "discounted" economy class fare choices one had to choose from. Then they instituted the service charge plus miles. NOW, they've kept the pricing for the H class and K class fares, but have now recoded the fares to N fares. I can only believe that they did this to charge the higher service fee associated with N fares (vs. H and K fares) when attempting to upgrade. I guess I shouldn't get too worked up since trying to find an R class seat is next to impossible.
