As would be expected, these systems are equipped with hearty overload protection. They do not, however, have annoyance protection built in.

Could be the first in the U.S. to have true AVOD on domestic flights (given NW doesn't use the 330s for anything intra-U.S.).

NWA/US have them on their A330s

Does anyone know if the IAH-LIM flights have the AVOD yet? :rolleyes: My family will be making this flight next month. :cool:

Considering that IAH-LIM is not marketed as BusinessFirst, but as International Business (and is therefore eligible for free elite upgrades), I doubt it. But it's possible you'll get one of the reconfigured aircraft with AVOD.

More seriously, if it became common knowledge, I can't imagine the kinds of kid and teenager toys that might appear. And how little some parents would care. As if some of those battery-operated things weren't bad enough already ... even with the muffler on you have to endure all that clicking and grunting.
