Interpreting class availability

Looking at class availability for an upcoming flight, (for the first time, really) and find:
A0 D0 Z0 Y9 H9 K9 N9 B9 O9 V9 U9 Q9 I9 S9 W9 T9

Does this really mean that A,D, and Z are sold out but there's a ton of Y? 'A' is available for sale on the website, so it can't mean the class is not offered. Or am I just reading this totally wrong?

it would be strange if they were offering A for sale on the website and there was zero in the A bucket...
But this should mean that first class is sold out and there are seats in coach, though how many are actually available is up for debate...

FWIW, both out and back Plat UG'd with that showing, one off 2hr before standby list, and other at 3 days. Only one data point here, but I'm not sure that checking class availability is worth the trouble with regard to upgrades...

Are you sure the website was selling "A" availability? I've seen instances (and there is a relatively recent thread here about it) where they offer to sell "F" inventory, which is a "full-full" first class fare, often significantly more expensive than any A fare (think pre-9/11). I suspect it's when they are overselling the FC cabin, which they probably only do on routes where there are a high number of no-shows historically.

Yes, I'm sure. I checked "first class" on the website, and it was A that was being offered. Coach presented I, which is what I ultimately bought. My suspicion is that maybe the indication included revenue seats being blocked
