Continental / Amtrak

I just realized that Continental and Amtrak have a partnership code share. I have about 8 Acela express NY-DC trips that I have made, and i still have the stubs. Can anyone tell me how many miles they are worth and if they count towards segments on CO? I called CO twice and asked them what to do with my stubbs (if i could fax / mail them in for milage and segment credit) and they said that i could not, but were not certain of the rules and in BOTH cases elevated to a superviser who was also unsure. Yeesh! In closing i am wondering the following:
1. If they are worth any segments (that would be wonderful!)
2. How many miles they are worth
3. Is it worth the hassles of claiming them for milage on my CO
4. in the future, how can i get the milage claim from Amtrak when i buy ticket directly from them applied to CO?

Thanks very much to all.

Did you call the Onepass folks or the regular reservations line? Info on the Amtrak thing is here. I'd call onepass.
