Pros/Cons to Interline Cloning/Linking
I understand the positive aspects to cloning/linking two Continental tickets (protecting you from schedule changes/mechanical delays), but I still have 3 questions:
1) Is it possible to clone/link when you are using two separate carriers, e.g. IAH-EWR on CO & EWR-LHR on BA?
2) Assuming it is possible (via a call to CO or BA), is there any downside?
3) Again, assuming it is possible, is there any upside, e.g. would CO reaccomodate you if the BA flight back to EWR arrived late delayed due to a mechanical problem?
