This is crazy. I want to earn my first-ever Elite status as quickly as possible after 1/1/04. I booked a flight on Alaska roundtrip LAX-PVR (2440mi). Then I am taking TWO trips to London. The first segment is LAX-IAH-LGW (1379+4853mi) because I want to upgrade to BF and upgrades are no longer available on Virgin codeshare flights. The return is LHR-LAX (5442mi). On my second trip to London, I take Virgin codeshare roundtrip LAX-LHR (10,884mi). That gives me a grand total of 24,998 miles. Do you think Continental will go ahead and give me Silver Elite status if I call the OnePass center after completion of these trips?
Sometimes the actual mileage credited to your account is different than the one written in the mileage calculator of CO.
For example - TLV-EWR is 5666 miles in the calculator, 5692 in the account.
I suggest you to check the actual mileage and recalculate.
You can always break one of the direct LAX-LHR in EWR or IAH to gain some more miles (you can fly VS to EWR).

LAX-IAH-LGW: 1379+4853 (6232 miles)
LHR-LAX: 5456 miles (10,912 miles r/t)
Your final tally will be 25,036 miles.
You won't have to call OnePass Center. Congrats on your upcoming Silver....
