one pass is a scam

i have been spending 40 bucks a year for 5 years on a credit card that accumulate one pass air miles, naively assuming that when it came time to use the miles i would be able to do so - WRONG with a capital G.

I tried about 10 different vacation destinations at 5 different times of the year and in every single case, i would have to use double air miles on at least one of the two legs- often on both- on a couple of the trips there were no tickets available even using double airmiles- for several of the trips such as to tel aviv and zurich there were no tickets using standard air miles for months on end-

continental are a disgrace- i am cancelling my membership at once

They charge extra for people who don't know that you put a capital letter at the *BEGINNING* of a noun where appropriate.

Did you ever think that they haven't released availability yet? Also, did you call and speak with an agent...I've found they can often help you piece things together.

In the end my suggestions may be of some help, but I'm guessing you don't want help at this point...typically when you're as mad as you seem to act you let your anger prevent you from finding solutions that are often right in front of you.

Hope this helps...have a great day!

why didnt you call and ask if there was any availbility on Any SkyTeam Member???

Then if you ever read the T&Cs it does state that not every flight or destination will Free Tkts be offered. So if someone is doing any conning its the OP to themselves, for not having read thru the T&Cs. By the way ALL Programs have this same Rule.

There are many helpful threads on how to find reward availability. It is clear you haven't read any of them and just want to complain.

If you want help, people here will gladly offer it, but you need to come forward with a better attitude.

So, you have what, like 200 OnePass miles? Maybe that's why you can't find the award you're looking for.

I tried about 10 different vacation destinations at 5 different times of the year and in every single case, i would have to use double air miles on at least one of the two legs- often on both- on a couple of the trips there were no tickets available even using double airmiles- for several of the trips such as to tel aviv and zurich there were no tickets using standard air miles for months on end-
This I can appreciate. CO is an industry leader in award stinginess.

That'll teach them a lesson!

There's availability EWR-MXP on 3/14 returning on 3/22, 24, 27, 29. But it does appear to be slim pickings right now for a later departure date. I would follow some of the suggestions other posters have offered such as trying to book on partner airlines or just wait a while longer and see if more dates become available.

And waste those valuable NonePass miles?

Can I have them?

P.S. Sometimes it helps to wait for the last minute, or choose an alternate destination, as detailed in countless threads on this board.

This seems very familiar to another thread that was once posted in the AAdvantage forum. I can't seem to find the thread but I remember reading through it. I don't know if he is the same guy or not but the person in AAdvantage forum wanted five reward seats on one flight. But it was the same tone that he was going to cancel all his AAdvantage cards and blah blah blah blah blah.

In addition to using a few capital letters, if you used the handyFT "search" function a few years ago you could of saved a few bucks for a few years re "40 bucks a year for 5 years."

Dont let the door.........................
