Which metal to fly on?

I'm planning a trip to Paris Nov. 25 to Dec. 1 for Thanksgiving. This is on my own money so I'll be flying coach. Which airline would you choose, based on overall experience?

KLM ~$324 via AMS on a 767 and 737
Delta ~$493 direct (AF metal but DL flight number) on a 777 OR
Delta ~$414 via CVG on a 737 and 767.
CO ~$501 via EWR on a 777

Any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd do the KLM and get full CO elite mileage and bonuses. The price is the major determining factor.

One additional question...I know Delta flights booked in L, U, or T classes only qualify for 50% elite mileage, but the $493 fare is S class so I'm OK. Does flying AF with a DL flight number count as flying on Delta, thereby allowing me to earn my elite miles?

I'd probably do the same because of the fare. Unfortunately, all of these airlines have a tight 31-inch pitch in coach. KLM have old planes without personal entertainment systems, but the inflight service is good, and although it involves a connection Schiphol is good for shopping. If it didn't cost substantially more I'd otherwise have picked the AF metal (after having checked the fine print that you'd actually get mileage credti), because it's non-stop, in a new aircraft with personal entertainment system, with superior food and free champagne...

I would certainly choose KLM. Much better service, plenty of free alcohol in coach (if you drink) and I think that the pitch is better. I could be wrong about the pitch, but the 3 times I flew KLM coach felt so much more pleasant then the 5 times I flew CO coach.

Grrr...not at you obviously. Thanks, I missed that thread when I did a search.

My decision might be made. I called CO this morning, and found a $361 fare. The times are better than KLM as well - leaving Paris at 10 am versus 6:45 am. Perhaps I'll wait 'til tonight to book, just to see if any amazing fare pops up between now and then.

Thanks again for your help folks! If only CO had people like you, we might actually be happy.
