Platinum Challenge from LAX
I just received the challenge to fly 3 flights (other than Q,S,T or L)from Sept 1 to Nov 30 in order to be Platinum next year. I will have one K rt in October, but still need the other 2. Does anyone know what the cheapest and/or shortest flights I could find that would qualify from LAX?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am now Gold and will make Gold again even without the challenge. The mailing appears to be to all One Pass members since it touts the benefits of being Elite which any Elite member would not need to be told. The promo code is 54011, but it says "This offer is non-transferable and is intended only for the person named in this letter."

Is the number of flights specific to each recipient or is it 3 flights for everyone?

mauld quote from CURRENT PROMOS Thread
There must be different promo #'s for # of RT flights in the promo. For 3 RT's it appears to be 54011 and for 6 RT's it appears to be 54012.

Here are useful tools:
http://dps1.travelocity.com/lognlogi...ce=TRAVELOCITY
[Travelocity Fare Listing]or the CO website will now allow you to search for qualifying fares.
http://dps1.travelocity.com/dreamMap...p_arp_name=lax may suggest cities which are worth checking out with Fare Listing.
Generally, fares to Canada (such as YYZ) will qualify. Often there are decent B or V fares to some cities with generally low fares or which are other airlines' hubs. Las year CMH and BWI were attractive from some cities. Do not wait too late in the period; last year the decent qualifying fares dried up near the end.

In answer to your question-- the challenge does not limit flights--any departure city is allowed. I only mentioned LAX in the post since it is my home airport and I was curious what the cheapest fares in the required classes might be.

Is anyone receiving the Platinum fast-track offers also in the Continental Select program?
Or does being in one preclude the other?

I was able to register for the promotion online. I'm gold, and will be close to that again this year. I wasn't sent the offer.

If you weren't targeted and try to register online, it'll say you're registered even though you're not. You need to call the OnePass service center to register ...or at least to verify that the offer is active on your account.
