Weekend Sales?????
All,
Last weekend I saw some very interesting fares from EWR to GRU (around $300) to fly between September and October. Stupid me, I thought I could wait until Monday but these were gone by then. Since I am new to Continental and that I did not see any advertising in Continental's site saying that there was a Weekend Sale, I wonder if this is an usual practice by Continental to offer extremely good fares during weekends?
Thanks,
Rodrigo

My observation is that generally fares go up and availabilty of the lower fare buckets goes down on weekends, although with airlines you never know what they're gonna do.
A while back I was lookin' for a good fare to San Juan, every Saturday the fare would go up about $100, and drop back down by Sunday night or Monday.
Lots of times they have un-advertised sales that don't last long, probably to gage the demand for yield management planning purposes.
As always, your mileage may vary.
