better luck on delta ?

I'm still trying to get to Hawaii using the standard points awards for BF seats. Would I have an easier time getting the seats on Delta through Continental? They are still partners?

I was trying to book Hawaii on CO as well and couldn't find anything under a standard reward online for several dates I looked for. I called CO and asked about standard awards on DL and even NW and there was nothing!!!! Basically I am fed up with CO trying to use miles for standard awards. I have seen from various replies that others are frustrated as well and even the CO agent confirmed that they get alot of complaints. I am following the advice of several on these boards and moving my miles to UA via Amtrak. Good luck with your reward! In my opinion CO mileage program should really be called NONEPass.

Keep in mind the BF seats are much better than the F seats on Delta. If your trip is in the off season you'll have better luck. I usually go in Jan Feb or March and the flights are rarely full in BF.

Huh! I rarely see an empty B/F seat to/from HI any time of the year. I would estimate on my last 20 Hawaii flights only a total of 5-6 B/F seats were not filled, and yes, typically 20% of the B/F seats are filled with nice happy CAL employees.

I usually try to get Hawaii as a stopover to Asia with standard coach and get it maybe 50% of the time. But that's at gold elite or higher (I imagine the regular members must really get hosed). And sometimes I have to overnight it at my own expense in west-coast gateways to get something that works, since those seem to be the best shot.
