There will be some differences in mileage redemption when using DL flights...

It's now official: there will be some differences in the mileage levels required when using certain Delta flights.

Fresh off the onepass.com site:

Travel Area: Between North America (except Central America) or Hawaii and South America

Reward Type Class Miles

Standard Roundtrip Economy Class 35,000(50,000 if a Delta-operated flight is booked for the international segment of travel; sold as series 5A)

Standard Roundtrip First Class/BusinessFirst 70,000
(75,000 if a Delta-operated flight is booked for the international segment of travel; sold as series 5A)

Thank you for choosing Continental Airlines, a proud member of the SkyTeam Alliance.

Wow, you guys do better than we do! For us, BusinessElite (Delta's "equivalent" to BusinessFirst) is 75K from the U.S. to South America!

I bet CO raises their mileage requirement for this to 75k to "meet industry standards."

More importantly, it would simplify things for OnePass members (sort of like eliminating the discount for offpeak awards).
