I had actually brought that up (well, $802) the other day, and on the itinerary / fare summary screen it was listed as a K fare, but when I looked in the fare rules it showed up as a V.

I would just say to be careful and check the rules when you think a K or H are too good to be true.

Of course, this pre-supposes that you were looking for an upgradeable fare, which you may not have been looking for.

I would of loved a K fare but I just assumed that it would be a V fare. I was resigned to coach but if for some reason I could siwng a K fare on this for 7 or 800 that would be great. Is the GUM-NRT upgradeable based upon elite status? Thanks!!

If memory serves, the K fares ranged from $1,220 to $1,273, depending on routing.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">OnePass Elite upgrades are valid for travel within or between the 48 contiguous U.S., Alaska, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.Elite upgrades are also available on select flights within or between the Mid Pacific and Asia. So, it depends whether the equipment is a 738 or 767.

I've got a K fare (already upgraded) for $1,008 in Jan- EWR-NRT-SIN-NRT-EWR. Granted, with your trip you do get the 'extra miles' via IAH, HNL & GUM-- but I didn't want to face that many connections. Also I'm only in SIN for 3 nights and I'd rather not spend the bulk of my trip changing planes .
