Same-day standby on a D fare?
Hi. I'm ticketed domestically on a restricted (non-refundable, advance-purchase) D fare. I know that any changes to it will trigger a re-faring and a change fee.
However, if I am able to get to the airport earlier than I've planned, I should be able to standby for an earlier flight, right? (As far as I know, same-day standby is still available for all published, domestic fares.)
Further, if I do standby, will I be cleared into F ahead of people waiting for an upgrade, since I am on a paid first fare?
Thanks very much.
