Are ALL Co flights code-share with NW?

I fly NW most of the time, but am looking at Continental (now that SBN has CO flights) again to help. I am going to MNL and NW goes through DTW, but I can get 4000 more by taking CO through IAH and GUM. Would these flights listed as NW flights even though NW has a different routing? I can't seem to get these to show up on NWA.com.

Most definitely not, particularly to markets such as GUM and SPN, where they are the only two U.S. carriers.

The DoT is concerned about anti-competitive considerations. But they will still sell each other's tickets, issue award tickets combining both carriers in opposite directions, etc.

Even if not available online, if you take NW one way, you can book over the phone. Or you can book through CO and give your NW number.

Thanks. I enjoy the benefits of Elite status, so would like to stay NW if possible, even at a 4000 mile difference for the routing.

I don't understand what the issue is. NW and CO have reciprocal elite benefits, regardless of which of the two you fly, or which of the two carriers you ticket on.

Can you please clarify your concern?

I had a trip to HKG last year where I was on NW over and CO back. I booked the trip with the NW elite line, as I was upgrading with miles, and everything worked just great! You will also get EQM and your elite bonus too regardless if it is a codeshare flight or not.

So CO only code-shares ALL of NW's Domestic routes and selected international routes?

NO.

Continental only code shares SOME of NW's domestic routes (including select Northwest Airlink flights operated by Mesaba/Pinnacle) and selected international routes (none of which are trans-Atlantic).
