BF Lounge at PEK?

I'm travelling out of PEK on CO 88 on Friday and the Continental web site lists no PC or other lounge. Is it possible that there is no accomodation for Business First passengers on the new PEK-EWR route?

IIRC all BF destinations have lounge access of some sort. Even small stations such as BRS have access to the lounge.

SkyTeam Elite Plus?

As a elite plus member of SkyTeam you should be able to access any member lounge when traveling internationally. I poked around at www.skyteam.com but could not dig up a list of partner lounges (although at some time I do recall seeing one). OTOH, you're in BF and as such, I'd think that CO would have some lounge agreement in place for passengers such as yourself.

CO arranges lounges for BF pax for all of their BF destinations. Its not limited to skyteam/partner airlines, CO uses the RG lounge in GRU. they'll take care of you don't worry.

Anyone visit a lounge in PEK?

Just wondering if anyone has actually visited a lounge at PEK as a BF passenger, either arrivals or departure? We are traveling there in November in BF (not PC members). Thanks.

I have taken this flight 2 times this summer. CO contracts with the Air China business class lounge. Believe me is sounds better than it is. It is a pretty good size but very dumpy lounge. A few packaged snacks & cold drinks. Nothing to write home about. There is free internet access if you have a computer cable. Oh and by the way believe it or not......no rest room in the lounge. You have to exit the lounge and go about 100 feet outside to the public rest room.

I hope that Air China gets it together before the Olympics. I think the lounge is totally unacceptable. Last time I spent 5 minutes there to check my email then wandered around the duty free.

Does anyone know if I would be able to visit this lounge with my Amex Plat. if I am flying coach to PEK on CO? Just wondering what the arrangement is in this particular lounge. If not, I always have the Prestige Pack passes I could put to good use hopefully

I doubt that either of these methods will work. If it's not listed as a PC partner lounge, then access is granted only for BF passengers (either paid, upgraded, or award). And, even if Air China is an Amex Platinum lounge partner, you probably can't get in on that basis because you don't have an Air China ticket. I think a day pass is your only option, in which case you may be able to find a much better lounge.

As other poster stated this is not a CO lounge so I don't think there is any way in except on a BF ticket. And even if you could buy a day pass it would be a HUGE waste of money. The lounge is really the pits.

I was in that lounge a week ago. Totally agree with TMOTEE. It's pretty grungy. In fact, when I tried to use the wired internet access, 3 out of the 5 stations had the wires pulled out of them. If you're a BF customer, then they'll give you an invite at check-in to hand to the Air China people. Turn right after immigration/security and the lounge is down on the right through the duty free area.
