CO to EZE ?

I know CO has applied for the rights to fly IAH-EZE starting this november. Being a Skyteam member trying to fly to EZE in November, I have to say I'd rather fly CO than DL to EZE, so I was wondering if anyone knew when approximately we can expect to find out if the DOT is going to award the rights to CO.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Aurelien

Take CO to GRU or GIG, then hop over to EZE on a local Varig or TAM.

thanks - I know I can do that, and it is actually a little cheaper than flying DL, but I am concerned about possible delays on the first flight making me lose my connection. In that case, it is hard to get rebooked on another flight or -on the way back- i may not get another flight to NYC on CO until the following day.

If anyone, looking at past history, could shed light on how soon we'll know whether CO will get the rights to fly to EZE, that would be terrific.

Thanks
A.

In Continental's application to the DOT, they stated that they would inaugurate IAH-EZE service on November 29th (if awarded the frequencies). So regardless of when the DOT makes a final ruling (my guess is August), it probably won't help you for your November travel.

I think one can only guess at this point. See this lengthy discussion over on airliners.net earlier this year...

thanks for your help (and link) guys - that is really helpful.
I guess we'll have to fly DL through ATL then...
