Direct vs. Stop - Miles

Direct vs. Stop - Miles
Quick question, if I was to fly PHX IAH CMH (direct flight, same CO flight number), but booked a multi-city trip, with one leg being PHX IAH, and another IAH CMH, would I get only the direct mileage of 1,668 or a combined flight miles of 1,013 + 994 = 2,007?

Good Question. I'd say 1,668 if same flight no.

If you can manage it, and get 2 boarding passes, you'll get credit for both segments individually.
I haven't done it on CO, but I did manage to do it on NW once.

I got credit two segments on a one-stop flight last year. Booked as LAX-IAH-DTW, flights were LAX-IAH-EWR-DTW with LAX-IAH and IAH-EWR having the same flight number.
Edited to add that these were all CO flights.

Mrs. Gold was booked on a MSY-TUS "direct" flight some time ago, and received credit for MSY-TUS as well as IAH-LAS and LAS-TUS after a mechanical delay caused her flight to arrive at IAH after the continuation of the flight had already departed.

Does anyone know if CO 111, EWR->IAH->SLC is the same aircraft? Is this likely to get credit for the miles flown or the nonstop EWR->SLC routing?

Usually it is scheduled to be the same aircraft, but aircraft substitution is likely if the first flight is late.
Check the flight status for yesterday's flights and you can see whether it actually was the same aircraft (i.e., same gate at the hub). Of course, just because yesterday's was the same doesn't mean yours will be. Anyway, CO 111 yesterday arrived and left out of IAH at the same gate, D-9.

I'm very certain that you'll get the lesser of the two. I got screwed recently in a similar situation on NW via DTW.

Incidentally, on the CO website it lists CO 111 as earning miles for each segment:
I doubt that it will get credited this way...
