Are the PCs continuing to degrade??
Very slowly, yes, IMO.
At SEA, only wines were Gallo magnums; beer selection low. And no more fritos and chips at the bar (pretzels and honey-coated peanuts). No evening cookies either.
SEA PC is STILL my favorite small PC. The agents continue to be great, and unlike the NW club, PC stays open until the last flight of the night.
In general, I feel a downgraded effect at most other Pclubs. These things tend to go in cycles, and I hope this is the case here.
Is it just me?

Fritos availability seems to vary with the time of day. If in doubt, ask if they have any. Much to the dismay of some, a PC snack food discussion can be found here:

As far as overall degradation, I've noticed that they now ALWAYS run out of the NY Times at EWR and all that's usually left in the afternoon are a big pile of the Star Ledger and other local NJ papers. This happens consistently, and often well before 10am. I often wonder why they can't order fewer copies of these papers and more of the NY Times but nobody at the PC seems to know the answer to that question -- or to care.
I've also noticed that they seem to like to use those cheap plastic cups and not the nice glass ones. I've had this happen even when sitting at the bar with stacks of real glasses sitting right there!

I was at the PC in AUS on Wednesday, and their selection of nuts had been replaced by Ritz crackers and saltines. I don't know if this is a recently instituted downgrade or part of some snack rotation plan.

For me it's not the food, it's the fact that they are getting too crowded, at least in Cleveland they seem to be.

I think the "derade" not only happens at PC, but Delta's Crown or AA Admiral Clubs. NW's World Clubs are the only one I havn't noticed any downgrades.
I really miss those delux mix nuts.

As for Crown Rooms, at least there is still free-flowing Makers Mark bourbon. And many locations have a computer with internet access available for patrons to use complimentary. The snack selection is terrible, though.

God forbid anyone say Northwest is downgrading their product!
They are the greatest airline in the history of mankind! They don't have the capacity to actually take something AWAY from their customers, do they?
-----------
That said, I think they have downgraded the snacks aspect, and seem to order less newspapers than they used to. Still, the WC at EWR is pretty good and I usually use it over the DL Crown Room whenever I am flying out of B-1.

Plus, they had Fritos, Lays, Baked Lays, BISCOFF, and apples.
