If the TSA doesn't know that CO now issues an on-line BP, whats to stop them from thinking that its just a piece of paper someone made up to get by security? The TSA needs to know it exists, and what it should look like, right?
|
I usually don't place much faith in what McPaper says.
But we shall see. |
Has this actually been implemented or was it quietly dropped? I have seen nothing about it at the CO web site...

Funny how a low cost carrier has it but CO is still forcing you to the machines.... |
It has happened at a number of airlines by now - maybe CO has invested so much in the eService kiosks, that they've decided not to undermine their own investment!
That said, I did notice when I flew back from CMH a few weeks ago that the gate agent was using some new scanning device to scan a barcode on the bottom of the kiosk-produced BP. Maybe web-checking will commence once the readers to get installed system-wide. |

But NW doesn't have the readers at all stations, they just, get this, fold the 8.5x11 paper and tear it, and give you half. I bet the printers that sell the high priced perforated stock hate that! I'm on NW tomorrow morning, already checked in. Love it. Maybe CO will allow this, if you check in before you book your flight, it's free. If you check in after you have purchased your ticket, you must pay an expedite fee. |

But wait... I'm plat now... so I get all my upgrades 5 days out. Jeez I make myself laugh! (or is that cry?) Well, at least it's not DL. |
I noticed those new scanning devices on my flight, SEA-IAH-FLL. But I only saw them in IAH not SEA or FLL. I hope CO gets a move on this already. They are REALLY behind.

I think I saw scanners at BOS the other day...

Here it is! Looks like you can check in 12 hours in advance. I'll have to try it for my flight Friday.

It figures -- I fly on the 3rd and they start this on the 4th. HAs anyone discovered whether this check in facility let you switch to an earlier flight like the e-check-in machine?
