Enhancement of priority check-in?

I was a bit alarmed when perusing the 2003 Elite member's guide which I received yesterday to discover that every reference to priority check-in has been removed. Anybody who's seen the CO economy check-in lines at Gatwick will understand why this concerns me. My booklet is a special European edition, which I don't recall being the case last year. Is the US version the same? Priority check-in is still listed with the same wording as last year on continental.com (although I daresay it could be conveniently removed if a planned enhancement is in the pipeline)

In the US edition, pp3,14 make the normal references.

I used the priority check-in line at CDG yesterday. My only "problem" was convincing the security person I was an elite even though I didn't have a card (thanks CO for not sending it until AFTER I left), but when I showed her a boarding pass stub with the "s" on it, she let me through.

Take heart! There's still priority check-in. (and yes, I've stood in that regular check-in line at Gatwick many times.)
