i assume your ticket is HOKEY, or whatever it's called. if not, you have to pay $ just to get on the waitlist.

What is your Elite status, if any? Elite status and time of purchase determine priority for mileage upgrades. I think one of the EWR flights is operated with a 777, so obviously more seats increases your chances.

CO doesn't offer complimentary upgrades on BusinessFirst serviced flights (EWR-London is a BF serviced flight). The only way to get into the front cabin is to purchase an upgradeable fare (H, K, or Y) and then use miles to upgrade. Seats may or may not be available for upgrade. Generally seats are not available for upgrade using miles until 30 days prior to the flight. For more information use the search function at the top of the page and use the search term "HoKeY" and you will find a wealth of info on this topic.

Lets assume this flyer has a Hokey Ticket & some elite status.

Would there be any advantage on flying certain days of the week? Obviously anything can happen on any given day but are there any general rules (guesses) that would increase ones chances?

Can you Hokey waitlist on the VS codeshare?
