I expect this to happen more and more going forward in airports that have a main terminal building with separate concourses. This will enable connecting between coucourses much easier and also even the security lines between the airlines.
When will this happen in BWI?

This sounds like a great idea -- as long as the TSA folks stay awake enough to not let people through unscreened. In that case, instead of evacuating a single concourse they'll have to evacuate all of them. ;-)

I went out from CLE Friday night and the old arrangement was in place. Was surprised when I arrived on the red-eye this AM to see the new structure in Cleveland.
There is a roped-off area that seems to spiral around a small area, which people must be channeled through single-file like fliers-on-the-hoof.
Didn't see any TSAers asleep. Mostly they're hanging around empty gates, cracking jokes at each other, goofing around, playing grab-butt, etc, in a merry and low-key way, full of antics and hi-jinks. Then they get assigned to a boarding gate, and for 10 minutes they do some work. Then it's more waiting around and killing time. Dunno, I know they're human, but in the security biz, image goes a certain distance.
