"Challenge" question

Anybody experienced with the Challenge promotion?

I flew my last flight needed on Monday (yes, all the right cities and fare classes), and the miles posted today. But the co.com still identifies me as Silver.

When will the system recognize me as Gold?

(Woulda come in real handy today in DTW, with a short Gold/Plat/1st security line, and about 25 minutes long line for the rest of us!)

The computer will probably not upgrade your status automatically.

I waited two days for the miles to post and then called OPSC. After a few minutes on hold they upgraded my status. Same experience for Mrs. Keba. They even reposted our return flights so we got the increased elite bonus miles.

If you registered for the bloody promo, wouldn't you think the system ought to do it?

Ah well...I'll call later.

I emailed the OPSC and they upgraded my status about 2 days later. I just got my new gold card in the mail this week. That took about 2 weeks to receive.
