Comped status?

Does anyone here know if CO will continue to give 'comped' onepass status (silver or gold) for the 2003 year?

I have Air Canada Elite (Star Alliance Gold), but a change in jobs will have me on CO plenty in the next year.

If so, what do I have to send in?

Thank you in advance.

as long as you have given them NO business in the past, they would love to comp you all the way to Platinum. but, if you have given them money in the past, fahgetaboutit.

the best way to get info. on this subject is to do a search in this forum. the search key is in the upper right corner of your screen.

I was comped in April from a 2001 & 2002 Super Elite to Continental Platinum. I'd flown most of February through March on Continental.

A fellow traveller from Halifax was comped a couple weeks back for a 2002 Super Elite to 2002 & 2003 Platinum. The agent felt it didn't make sense to give him Platinum for just a couple months. He's been flying CO on discount fares since early September.

Hmmm, does it count as giving them business to have a few hundred thousand OP miles but never having stepped foot on a CO, NW or KLM aircraft?

When did that become the case? I failed to requalify in 2000 for 2001 and was comped based on UA status. If what you say is true, it is definitely a new rule. (Not that there aren't about 600 new rules lately.)

Comping is apparently a once-in-a-lifetime thing, though. You can't trick them into that twice.
