Another Bug in New System
Alas another bug in the new system. The best part was the response when I called it in.
Booked a 20K reward travel via the new online rewards system. Had 35k in my account. All went well and was able to get the times I desired, the discounted reward amount, and I was charged a minimal $5 to process.
The next day when I went to check the summery of my reservation (now posted in the lower RH part of CO.O.L Home), it showed the cost to be 20k + $130! This was because it now thought my account was at 15K and charged me an extra $125 to purchase the extra 5K it thought I needed
Really upset, I called up the elit # and was quickly assured me that the original 20K and $5 was what will be charged to my account and that this was a bug in the system. Very nice and apologetic with deep concern. She then sends me over to tech support.
After explaining this to the tech support guy, he pulled up my account and assured me of the orig charges the same way the elit rep did. I then explained I knew this already but was instead trying to report a bug in the system. His response was that he didn't understand the bug; "You got charge the correct amount, where is the problem."
I then explained the future panic he might cause with other users. It was after a couple of more exchanges like this that he conceded that MAYBE he should submit a bug report.
His concern really warmed me.
