First Post & Question

As this is my first post, I just wanted to say thanks to all the members who have posted information that was both important and useful. I hope that with all my future travel I could be as helpful as many of you have been.

Now for a CO question, which I am not sure has been answered before. I will be reaching Silver Status after my next flight (No Promos - 25k actual flight miles) and know that flights after that are credited at 50% bonus miles. I was thinking of taking advantage of the BusinessFirst sale that CO has. Does this mean that that a purchase of a BusinessFirst ticket after attaining status would mean 100% bonus miles (50% BusinessFirst & 50% Silver Bonus)?

Thanks.

Welcome to FT!

You would get a 100% bonus, but the BF sale that CO is running is booked out of "Z" class -- a sort of "special discount first." So if you're booking one of the BF sale seats, you'd only get your 50% bonus.

That said, CO is pretty good about having your actual elite status reflected within a couple days of your qualifying flight.

Welcome Papa.

Nutley is a very nice little town. It is a side of NJ most do not see.

Enjoy your Silver status.

Welcome to FT TheMightyPapa. There is a lotta good info floating around here.........and some other stuff too.

Some "Z" B/F fares do give a 50% Elite bonus, other "Z" fares do not. It is unclear to me if the upcoming nice Thanksgiving and/or Christmas B/F sales will give the 50% Elite Bonus. Regardless I already booked a "Z" to LGW. Too nice to pass up.

Check it out! Published Z fares get bonus. I'm fairly sure this is published.

A BusinessFirst mileage bonus of 50% when you fly First Class (A), Business Class (C and D), BusinessFirst (J) and published fares in Z class.
