Question about "V" booking class

I'm looking into a trip on CO to Antigua, and the travel agent I'm considering for the trip says that the CO airfare is in (and I quote) "bulk V class."

According to CO's website, V-class earns 100% EQMs, even if booked offline. However, something about the term "bulk" would imply to me that it's a very discounted rate. Is V-class really a bulk rate class?

Any insight into how bulk fares work?

V is discounted coach -- not deeply discounted coach. I am sure the TA did a search in their res system (apollo, sabre, etc) and got a definition that said bulk fare somewhere.

Best bet is to call CO direct and make sure the fare is really "v". The TA could be cooking a consolidator fare and you could be screwed.

My parents have flown on "U" or "V" bulk fare IAH-HKG before. No problem getting 100% EQM. However, they are not upgradeable (with miles & fees). CO won't even put them on wait list.
