Award Availability to London in Fall
Okay, now that we can check online it's possible to confirm that award availability sucks. I checked on every weekend (leaving Friday and returning Monday) in September and the first three in October and the only thing available is at the EasyPass level. Now I know why OnePass is great to earn miles on but really hard to spend them without burning double!

I had the same lack of success with Europe, but Hawaii is farily available in October and November, in Business Class yet. I booked it. I do not understand why Europe is not available (or conversly, why Hawaii is).

maybe it's because relative to the seats they have available, less people want to go to Hawaii and more want to go to Europe.

I wanted to book a reward seat for my husband for october and only came up with the Easypass 200k rewards, then when I logged in as me (platinum), I got std reward available every tues-thurs in october to london. There is no BF std award on fri-mon that I could find even as a platinum.
Then I called CO to book it as I wanted to use his miles and was told by two agents that the BF std reward is only available GT 30 days out for platinums otherwise its easypass fro non-elites, gold and silver. IF you want a std BF 100k reward and not a platinum you can only book within the famous HOKEY 30 day window.

If you have elite status, make sure and sign in before doing your search. The availability is different...

Interesting, in checking inventory I notice that even in the Fall several months in advance EasyPass availability to Europe is very limited in BOTH coach and BF. I suspect, CO tries to sell the seat, and when they realize they won't sell all the seats they dump some inventory in at the EasyPass level in both coach and BF.
Interestingly, I got a strange award to Milan last month. It was outbound from IAD on NW/KLM to Milan Linate (LIN) at the Rulebuster level (Northwest had it at the standard level but I don't have enough miles on them) but back on Continental from Malpensa on a EasyPass. Total outlay for me was 100K miles.

I logged in as Plat and tried DUB or SNN for April '03. Day after day, nothing, nothing, nothing available at the standard level.

Around October to early Dec, 2000, it was easy for me to get weekend seats. I booked about 3 weeks ahead of time. Maybe they'll release seats as the weeks pass (though this is guessing). I wouldn't use 2001 as a gauge because of the terrorists attacks affecting travel.

Try Again!
I've been trying for weeks to get a EWR-CDG during the beginning of November. Only Easypass available---this morning I checked online, and the seats I wanted were available for the Standard reward. "Technical difficulties" on website, so I called to put them on two week hold for me.
