Reaching Elite Level by Sector
I am looking at my account in the new continental website, and I see that they do allow elite qualification by this method.
Elite Qualification
Silver 25,000 Miles; 30 Segments/Points
Gold 50,000 Miles; 60 Segments/Points
Platinum 75,000 Miles; 90 Segments/Points

Has been that way for years. I am not sure how long, I would have to defer to Old Gold.

Our friend from the UK may not have been able to get status by segments in the past. Remember, the OnePass rules/benefits are different for those who live outside the U.S.
Hey Cris, did they take away your comp President's Club for "Euro-Plats" in order to give you the chance to get to Elite status on segments? You might want to check around, and see if you've been "enhanced"...

duxfan,
Nice catch. I did not even look that the "From:" field.
I wonder if this and some of the other "anomolies" are going to be ironed out before they launch the new website for good.

Segment qualification don't do you much good flying from the UK, what's the shortest segment from there anyway?

As for comp PC membership, I got my card a couple of months ago after 'reminding' the UK service centre and US service centre several times. Nothing happened, so I called the PC direct and my card was with me two weeks later.
