Degrees of Platinum…?

Assuming all factors of ticket class and time of check-in / purchase are the same, does Continentals system differentiate between equal status by:

Current year EQM’s?
Lifetime Miles?
Number of years @ Plat?
Other……

Just trying to solidify what the true facts are on the playing field of EUG’s

No. These aspects will not be used as a tiebreaker.

time of purchase will be the tiebreaker - in the event there are 2 plats on the same record - it will go to the first name in the record - or so has been my experience.

Two Elites in the same record will never be split. In this case, if there were 2 Plats on one record, but 1 seat, it would skip both Plats and give it away to the next person.

My intended question was hypothetical using two Plat having purchased 2 separate tickets, same class, at the same time trying to determine what bearing or lack …of that a members ‘degree’ of status might have.

Two people on different PNRs can't have purchased their tickets at *exactly* the same time. One has to be first. All else being equal, the first one wins.
