Chase Initial Bonus Problem

I don't know if this has happened to others (I did a search, but didn't find this specific problem). I had applied for the Chase One Pass card, with the promise of a 10,000 bonus. I only got 6,000. Chase is trying to tell me that the other 4,000 comes from CO. It sounded fishy to me at the time (despite this being a supervisor). According to CO all the points come from Chase. Who do I believe. Any clue?

I'd like to plan a trip from LAX to MXP this Christmas, but this is putting a kink in the works. On a different, but related topic, if any has suggestions to maximize BF time on that trip (no BF in LAX - EWR), I'd appreciate it. Looks like a routing through Houston may be best (777 to EWR).

Thanks

ILTE -- Thanks for the effort. However, as I mentioned, I did search and my problem is not the same -- I'm having no trouble getting activity posted. I was promised more initial miles by Chase than they have delivered and are seemingly trying to blame CO. Anyone with experience here? I'd like to be armed with facts when I confront Chase.

Be glad you at least got 6K...I'm still fighting for all 10K....Got the card in October when the 10K promotion was still going on...started calling/faxing web site print outs in April...never heard back so I called and asked for the CEO and was put through to Shelly Tanner (877-242-7335 Ext 1848) in the "Chase Executive Office"...might be worth giving her a call as well...

If you wouldn't mind reporting back what happens as I'm still fighting

BTW: From what I've heard/experienced no one knows what's going on at Chase, they made the same claim to me back in April, I conferenced None-Pass Customer Service in...got ugly from there, None-Pass quite bluntly told Chase it was their problem and they needed to award the miles since it was a Chase promotion not a Continental promotion (I love the person who invented the Conference Feature on Telephones)

I had the same problem. I e-mailed One pass and told them that Chase said that the 4,000 outstanding bonus miles were Continentals responsibility. They responded that the miles would post in 2-3 weeks. 6 weeks later no miles. Since I had saved their original response I sent another E- mail including it . 2 days later I got another e-mail that the miles were in my account and SUPRISE,SURPRISE they finally were. GOOD LUCK!!!

I have the Chase CO Sig visa now and am cancelling due to signing up for the NW USbank card for the big bonuses (up to 25k for 15 months). Last year when renewal time came for my Chase card, they promised me 6k to renew. After the fact, I did not receive the miles and eventually got a number to call directly to a manager (this number no longer works) and was told that there never was a 6k bonus to re-sign, that was only for new members and there was "nothing he could do" except give me 1k to sign up. I was quite pissed about it and considered cancelling the card immediately and would have if not for them removing a late fee for me earlier. This time I will try the NW card and see what happens.

The worst part was that one CSR promised it to me, a 2nd one a few days later confirmed it, and when the time came, NOT ONE of them could locate this info on my account. The first CSR told me that he noted it on my account and the second one confirmed that. If that is the case, and according to Chase they do not erase any comments, and the 2nd CSR does not have ESP, how come no further CSR's (after the fact) could locate this on my account?

My advice for you is that if anyone tells you anything, get all the info about that CSR so that you do not get the run around. I am cancelling my Chase card this month since I now have the NW card - I wonder if they will try to make any offers. I did ask them before getting the NW card if there was a bonus to renew and they told me no (despite the fact the member agreement says you get 1k to renew). It does not matter, I am switching to the NW for the bigger bonus.
