Continential Onepass "Privilege Packs" value?

Can anyone give me advice on the Executive and Prestige Privilege Packs? At $96 and $136 respecitively Are they worth it? Do you get true value out of them? Are other hotel or airline programs doing them and how do they compare?

It is tempting but i am a bit of a skeptic as to whether i'll really get my money's worth.

Sincerely amazed at how much info is shared at flyer talk.

Thanks

You have to ask yourself how much use you will get out of it. I purchased one and will get more than my money's worth. I paid $120 for my pack and will be using the $100 off coupon this summer and on my next trip through IAH am using the PC Initiation Fee waiver which will save me $50. Then I still have the companion ticket left. I have also used the 2 PC passes. I guess the 7500 miles are just icing on the cake.

Long story short...if you are gonna use it, its worth every penny.

One of the few good deals left in the airline industry! Recently purchased my third.

Its been discussed quite a bit in the past and you can get all the details/ opinions if you do a search.

I agree, its a good investment as long as you use it.

Can you use the $100 discount coupon or companion coupon on continental.com or are you stuck with 50% EQM for using them?

Are these still available for purchase? I cannot find a link while doing a search on the CO website. I agree these are worth the price. Last year I used the companion pass to book a triangle route (sorry, don't know the official industry term), IAH-LAS-LGA-IAH, and saved $340 on this alone.

Does anyone have a link to provide?

Look under Continental tab. Easy to find. Or just call 713-952-1630 to purchase.

It's a great deal IMHO.

Cheers,

My plan when I use mine is to book on CO.com and then reserve the ticket. Then call CO or goto the airport and present the coupon.

You may still be able to get them for $119. They just increased the price this week and were still honoring them this week if you specifically asked for it.

So that explains it ... I purchased an Executive Pack earlier this week and could have sworn I was told it would be around $75, less than what's on the website. Glad I purchased it this week.

If you pay for your own subscription to the Financial Times, the miles from an Executive Pack alone are worth it -- they get you about 1.5 years which would cost at least $150.

Edit: I asked about the $99 companion ticket when I bought the pack, and was told that I had to purchase the underlying ticket, i.e. I couldn't give it to my parents so they could fly together ... could anyone confirm/refute? Thanks.

Um,

see Economy Class for the $100 off coupon. Does that include the deep discounted X and other cheap fares

Just ordered one and they gave me the $119 price right off that bat. I didn't even have to bicker about getting the "old" price.

The voucher says it can't be used with any discount fare offer including Q and T fares.

I wish they would be more specific.

I agree. I wonder whether they work with some of the newer fare codes like I, W, S, L which are below the Q range.

I have the Chase vouchers - but they are just too hard to use. You have to go to the airport to have the ticket issued (CTO now closed). You can not do it on line.
