753 to DEN

I was checking an itinerary I have booked for November and was surprised to see that my DEN-IAH flight is now listed as a 757-300. Over the past few months CO has continued to add seats to the Denver market. Gone are almost all MD80's, replaced by new generation 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft along with the occasional 757-200. And now the looooong daddy!

Hummmmm....

From 02MAY02 to 12JUN02 CO will operate (2) flights on 757s from to DEN. However, after that they go back to 739s.

EDIT: correction... the eTimetable must have changed in the past 48 hours. Apparently the 12pm IAH-DEN flight will stay as a 753.

It would be nice if they would bring back the DEN hub. However, I realize this will not happen as the cost at DIA are too high and F9 has taken up their old market share as the #2 in town...

But hey, you never know...

Remember the old days at Stapleton... Three airlines, three hubs, and an airport designed to handle a third of that action...

Didn't Continental actually lead the market share race (over United) in Denver for a while before throwing in the towel?

I'll miss connecting through the Denver "hub" with the demise of the America West codeshare. Denver was a valid connection point on many fares from PHX (with PHX-DEN operated by America West).
