Current EUA Trend Exception

Is something wrong with itn or are these actually the numbers for CO1032 EWR-OAK Thurs, March 28-
A9 D9 F7???

There have been no Elite upgrades on this flight since the plat window opened on Sunday.

Looks like a good chance for EUA coming through tomorrow for me, a lowly silver

Question: Does EUA kick in at Midnight at the start of the 'window' or is there no fixed time?

Do yourself a favor and don't wait up. Technically it is midnight central time but the EUA can happen much later. It takes several hours for it to finish.

Let us know what the result is tomorrow along with the availability listing after the EUA and include your fare code!

There is a another new hypothesis being tested.

Still F2 on itn, but no upgrade. Travelling on a V fare.
Could be because I'm travelling on the same itinerary as the wife who is NW Silver. Although, that should mean we both should get our upgrades today.

knit-in.
You need to call CO and have them "split the record" if you don't mind only one of you getting an upgrade. EUA will only process ALL people on a record at the level of the lowest elite level of those on the record. If your wife is a NW silver, tht puts BOTH of you at the lowest level possible, behind other CO silvers. If you are both on the same record, its both or neither. With only two seats left, you risk one of the seats going to someone else and then neither of you will get the other if the record is not split.

The point being missed is why haven't those 2 F seats been given to someone either to knitin and companion or someone ahead of them if there are any?

Is it because of his V fare? Is it because upgrade seats are not coming from F anymore and seats aren't released to the upgrade bucket unless there is a high fare on the waiting list before it gets to airport free-for-all? Hmmm... questions, questions.

Thanks for the tip Vulcan, but for a 6 hour flight I'd rather keep my wife company . Now if we both could get our upgrades tomorrow at the airport, that would be great. That said, which PC at EWR is my best bet to get an angel to upgrade us. I've never used the PC at EWR, but PC, CLE has been wonderful to me regarding last minute upgrades.

Or would Check-in be a better stop to make for this purpose.

Thanks in advance

It has been said in other threads that if there are seats to be given, you're better off checking in at the e-ticket machine. I haven't tested this theory so maybe someone else here can elaborate?

Right, I've always been upgraded at the kiosks. But even the kiosk may not be able to upgrade us since our itins. are joined. I don't want to break them up since sitting together is the first priority. Our current seat assignments are as good as they get in a 73G coach

On another thread I recall reading that agents at one of the PCs at EWR can't upgrade- does anyone share that experience. If so, which one so it may be avoided.

On a related note, which is the best PC at EWR in terms of facilites to best prepare one for a 6 hour ride in coach?

The only thing I can suggest is a good PClub - the "new" one in the new concourse by the 120's gates is nice. My personal preference.

Some people prefer the "upstairs" one over by C75.

UPDATE:
No EUA, but airport upgrades came through. I got mine at the E-kiosk, while my wife (NW Silver) got her's at the check-in counter, as the kiosk didn't upgrade her (Can't NW elites get upgraded at the E-kiosks?).
Best Part- we got seats together in F.

There were no Plats on the flight, (at least not on the F roster)and thus no upgrades at the Plat window, I guess. There was one Gold, and 4 Silvers. There was one "One Pass" member in F- I wonder what that means. My wife's NW status was not mentioned on the roster.

Which means there were probably six NW elites on the flight. This must be one of the easiest transcons to upgrade on.

On the seats on the other side of the aisle from us were a father and his wonderfully behaved daughter of about 2 or so. Father was Silver, so I'm guessing daughter was a silver elite companion. Or maybe she was a NW elite since she seemed like a very seasoned flyer.
