Express Check In

Any news about CO expanding the Express Check-in Kiosks to trans-border flights? currently they are only available for domestic flights.

Air Canada has these kiosks available for use at all of their Canadian gateways. I use them everytime I fly back into the US from Canada.

any ideas on if they are coming, or why they aren't programmed for cross-border flights?

Maybe because the airlines want an agent to check entry documents?

I don't think so, as you still have to submit your passport # to an agent before you board (at the gate is the most common way to do it).

NW has been allowing you to check in for flights to Canada, Mexico, the Carribbean for some time at the E-Ticket Self-Service Device. I would think CO would get up-to-date with this, too.

Come on Duxfan, do you honestly think they're busy trying to figure out how to charge us more....be real guy...you know they have to locate the power switches on their terminals/computers first

I just wish they'd upgrade the website some year to allow "web check-in" ala NWA.com, I LOVE that feature

Not to mention the ability to book award tickets online--It's rediculous that you have to call up to check availability. Especially since for a given reward, it might be perfectly sensible to want to know the availability for CO, NW, HP, Frontier and Alaska flights. It seems that when you ask agents to check all of these, they start to lose patience. At least you can check NW/KLM/HP availability at their respective websites, so you can have some idea of what's available on these airlines before you start asking the CO agent to check too many things.
