Comp to CO
About a month ago, I wrote to Onepass asking for a comp into the elite program. I am a Chairman's Preferred on US, but when I looked at some of my planned destinations this year and saw that US doesn't serve them....well....let's try CO.
Here's the starter questions that I couldn't find answers for in a search:
As a top tier elite with US, would CO comp me the top tier? (Platinum, I presume).
And for anyone who first joined CO as a comp, how long did it take to get the approval and packet? I'm waiting just over four weeks now for acknowledgement. Does that sound normal?
Many thanks!

This is really out of hand. 35 days now and nothing to be heard from CO. I'm trying to get a telephone number for Onepass Elite Match in Houston, but I can't even get through on the main Onepass number to even find out what that number is!
1. Does anyone know a number that I can use to call elite match? If not, could some kind soul who is currently elite and has a dedicated line call up for me (and not get a busy signal I presume) and ask where I can call to follow up?
2. Is Onepass really this unresponsive all the time? (i.e., am I wasting my time trying to fly CO? I was under the impression it was a pretty good elite program?)
Thanks,
Paul

There is no Elite Onepass phone number, just a number for reservations.
Re-fax it or call the Onepass 800 # and hold. I suspect that they didn't receive it since I've heard of people getting status matched within a business day.

This is the busiest time of year in the service center, and with all of the layoffs from earlier in 2001, things are moving slowly. There are about 600 elite requests that come in daily, must be reviewed and responded to (even if status is denied). Be patient. Elite kits take 3 to 4 weeks to get to you, but you may alreay have your status. Call and check.

The 1-800 number you might be referring to is the number for the REWARD DESK. RD agents do not have access to the same computer system that has all of your OnePass information in it.
The only other 1-800 number is a promotion line that gets turned on and off, depending on what promotions are being run.

Perhaps they transfer me, then? I don't recall specifically, but I do know that I haven't called the 713 number in a long time.

Could be that a RES AGENT (Reward Desk) is transferring you to the service center. It can be done, but If s/he is being evaluated, it will cost her a couple of points on the score. Proper procedure is to give the customer the "713" and have them call. Most res agents don't know the extention to xfer to OPSC, since it's not published in the inter-office directory.

I don't think people are going to post in a public forum this kind of info (ie, inside addresses and phone numbers). You may get more help if you added an email address to your profile

I noticed that whenever I call 1-800-WECARE2 regarding a Onepass problem, they connect me right over to the OPSC... one way to call them toll free.
