Prestige Pack Debacle
I will spare you the details of all the frustration I just went through with CO but just tried booking a flight for myself and my husband using the Prestige Pack $99 Companion Ticket for 1 ticket and the $25/$50/$100 Off Roundtrip Airfare ticket for the other. No dice! I nicely questioned a CO Supervisor about this, yet he was very firm in stating only one of the coupons can be used when buying 2 tickets, no exceptions.
In another post here it was suggested to book the Roundtrip Airfare discount first, and then book the $99 companion ticket. Does anyone have any recent experience that this works?

"Not valid with any other....." Yeah kiddo, thats the usual routine, you gotta decide which is worth more to you, the discount or your $99 companion.

Don't try and book at seperate times. I tried to book the companion fare for my brother after me and family had already paid for our fare and they would not let us do it.

You can't use two coupons on the PNR. You're probably best to use the companion pass first first. Save the discount cert for a future trip.

NOT TRUE: at least in my experiences. I have made everyone I know buy prestige packs so I could use the coupons. I have maxed the rules to that game and know the in's and out's pretty well.
I have ROUTINELY (5 times?) used the $99 companion and the $50/75/100 in the same PNR. You have to buy one published fare to use the compnaion cert. So you can take the $50/75/100 off the published fare and then use the companion ticket against that fare.
Also, an interesting note, is that you may use someone else's PP certs if the have the same last name (family memeber) or the live in the same houshold.
I bought a PP for my sister who never even knew about it Iand I used the good certs out of it. I have done that for every memeber in my family, hence the 5 times.
I think you might have a confused CSR.

Have you ever thought about buying Prestiege Packs for your critters too?

And additionally, you can't Elite upgrade when you use the Companion coupon. Last Fall I tried to use it on a trip to Chicago. I was already getting an excellent price ($160 each), so I decided the $60 savings just wasn't worth losing the chance for upgrades!
