continental select status

They're mailing out status statements for the Continental Select promo telling you how far you have progressed in the challenge.

Gently maneuvering back on topic...

We got our statements yesterday. They were full of zeros because we've only flown Q and T fares...too bad! Seems like a waste of that fancy paper to me.

Interesting. Mine only showed flights that qualified. No flights on the lower fare classes appear, even with zero's.

I didn't realize that not all fares were eligible. Sorry for being ignorant, but is a Q or T fare somethig specific? I was all set to make my goal of 12 RT's and 60K miles by the end of the promo, but now I'm not sure . . .

The summary page had a bunch of zeros...the activity detail page was totally blank.

Q and T are the cheapest fare classes. Most of the really low fares (out of IAH anyway) are Q or T. You can tell by the first letter of the fare basis, or by looking at your itinerary on Co.com...the fare class is usually listed under the class of service (i.e. Economy (Q)).

A mailing this week was the first I had about the program. I called OPSC, and suggested that they use something other than bulk mail---nothing like learning about a promo two months after it starts!
