Promotion Code for IAH Hyatt

As noted in the event hotel thread, there is a promo code for 1500 bonus points for those of us staying at the Hyatt this weekend. The website lists the code as G2. I just called to add the promo code to my reservation and the agent told me it was invalid for that hotel. Turns out the correct code (according to the agent) was G3. Did anyone else experience problems with this? If anyone hasn't added it to their reservation, do so and grab the extra points.

The agent also stated that our rate does qualify for points/stays, etc... someone in the other thread had been told that it did not.

If it doesn't post correctly, you can email Gold Passport and they will correct it. I've found that using G3 will post the correct number of points even if the site lists G2. Maybe someone is manually doing it though.

When I called the general GP # yesterday, I asked for the G2 promotion, as well, and they said it didn't apply. The agent then searched for any applicable promotions and found it, but under a different code. (Sorry, didn't write it down.) He confirmed it was 1500 points and apllied to the group continental rate, so, if you're having problems online, try calling.

When I booked with Hyatt Central reservation, they told me the rate did not apply for stay and night credits. When I talked to the hotel a day before checking in, they said that conference rate gets stay and night credits... Waiting to see what is correct..
