How bad is CO website?
Just entered a search as follows: 2pax EWR-SJU 5/1 - 5/8. 1st lowest fare shown with a big yellow star is 760.12 with outbound connecting through CLE. Next best prices (both with yellow stars!) 1,173.58 connecting both ways through IAH. Now, search again but by schedule and 2 non-stops at convenient times price out at $555!! Why didn't this come up with the first search?

To say it blows is being nice
To me personally it is the worst thing about CO, since HoKeY isn't an issue to me.

Northwest should have gotten the best website award. The only good think about Continental.com is the ability to transfer travel agent itineraries to the website.

And even then, woe be to the person who makes a change to the itinerary. Co.com gets really confused and then just refuses to display it.

I just tried to book a ticket LAX-DCA today on co...com and it priced out about $300 cheaper than travelocity and it had yellow stars all over it. What gives?
NW does FAR better than CO in the tech sector.

Continental really seems to like lotteries lately, just witness the HoKeY enhancement. This fare listing is common and probably is another "enhancement-extension" of the Lottery Enhancement Group within Continental Corporate.
Hey, you gotta it all figgured out. Just re-try for better fares. It is done all the time with our telephone calls. If you dont like what they tell you, hang-up and get a nicer person with more positive answers. Do a search on FT for examples..

People make the same sorts of comments of dissatisfaction about the UA website as well. Someone over there made the point a while back (a good one I think) that the website is designed to maximize income to the company, not necessiarily give us the lowest fares all of the time. Something to keep in mind as we surf for fares in various places.

let's just stick to the question folks. it suc*s. it's a CO "enhancement." AA.com is the best for reasons i already outlined. no charge for sending paper tix. and, if the flight is cancelled you dont have to send the tickets to Timbucktoo (sorry, i didnt know the airport code). you just march to an AA ticket office for an immediate full refund.
