Heard from a co worker that if one purchases a CO ticket from the Orbitz web site, you will not earn mileage into your One Pass account. Is this true?

Orbitz purchases accrue mileage, but they do not accrue the web-booking bonus miles that one would earn if purchased on Continental.com.

My wife and I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas bought on Orbitz with CO tickets. We both got upgraded and miles posted in 2 days. We even got double miles for the flights on 12/15.

perhaps your friend is confusing orbitz with priceline. those "name your own price, fly when we tell you" tickets do not earn miles...

Safest bet is to read (and print) the rules and see the mention of mileage; I also take note of the section regarding stand-by.
