New ticket class
Was poking around ITN to look at F availability for some upcoming flights.
I noticed a new class of service for CO - E class.
The list read as follows:
A D F E Y (and the rest of the coach classes here, I forget the exact order of B, V, T Q etc)
E is something I have never seen before on CO. I looked at ITN earlier this morning and it wasn't there, so this is definitely something that sprouted up during the day today.
The interesting thing is that this new class tends to correlate with F (at least for the flight segments I brought up - about five or six.)
For example:
F9 E6
F2 E0
F4 E0
I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. Perhaps this is some sort of new class for EUA? I'm just surmising here, don't jump all over me
(Edited to clarify some statements)

It's the bucket for FC/BF reward ticket. ITN's sister site used to display this information.

I thought reward tix came out of F inventory?
If there was F available, you could use miles to buy a ticket, I thought.

If F is available, you can use miles to buy a domestic upgrade. If E is available, you can use miles to buy a totally free ticket.

It's even more puzzling as it does not appear on all mailine flights. I checked some flights Im taking next week. For example on DFW-IAH "E" class only appears on maybe 1 out of 4 mailine flights (real jets). Could it possibly be some fare class for those weird NW fares as a code share? NW has some new fare codes like "M". etc. Definetly not EUA though. I didnt get my upgrade last night on the flight that shows E4. What really bugs me is that ITN and AOW show DIFFERENT "A" and "F" seats available on my flights. ITN showed A4 F4 while AOW showed A9 F9. That's not good. No upgrade and conflicting info... I'm wondering if we can trust any info we find on these sites? Thoughts?

I most certainly trust ITN. Last night I called OnePass because my EUA didn't seem to go through.
ITN was showing A2 D2 F1 and I wanted to make sure I got the upgrade. OnePass took care of the upgrade and when I pressed refresh on my browser ITN showed A1 D1 F0 seconds later.
Works for me

How about an "FU" class -

"free upgrade" class!
