Can anyone tell me what this is / was?

Couldn't find any reference using the Google type search. I got 500 points for activation of this but don't remember what I signed up for.

I just registered for it using the code you posted... it seems to be meant for a new user, hence the activation bonus, and gives you an extra 500 miles (in addition to the 1000 bonus miles) when you buy tickets at co.com... here is the promotion description:

Earn up to 1,500 bonus miles when you purchase round trip tickets at continental.com

Get your new OnePass membership off to a flying start when you purchase tickets at continental.com. You'll earn 500 bonus miles with your first qualifying online purchase and an additional 1,000 bonus miles with your third qualifying online purchase.

Purchase must be made within three months of your OnePass enrollment date to qualify.

I think you will find it comes back as "New Member Activation Bonus", showing 500 points.

I probably registered for it just because it was listed here or in an email or something like that.

I've been a OnePass member since CO's merger with Eastern and my recent transactions were not my first on-line - but I'll take the 500 points anyway.
