Just check in like you normally would, emmett. Give the agent a picture ID and your flight number and they'll do the rest.

Using e-ticket machines can save you a considerable amount of time, though, espeically if you can't use the elite check-in lines. You will need only a major credit card, and the machine will retrieve your details. Very easy, like using an ATM.
If you have bags to check, make sure you use an e-ticket checkin machine in what looks like the regular ticketing desk -- i.e., an agent behind the desk, and a luggage scale next to the machine.
There are several banks of these machines, typically located on the ticketing level along the exterior wall to the roadway.

I've used them exclusively for about 3 years now. I like 'em. Never have to worry about whether I'll be able to get the ticket on time, or whether I'll lose it. Others still like paper better, for various reasons, but I much prefer e-tickets.

I am flying out of EWR with an E-ticket. Do I have to check in before the security checkpoint or can I use the machines inside the gate. I'm not checking any bags.
Also, How has long term parking been? Are they inspecting cars? Thanks.

If you aren't checking bags, you only need to check in at one place. I prefer the e-ticket machines before security because the earlier the checkin, the better. If I get stuck in security, CO "knows" about me. There never seems to be a line in the e-ticket machines outside security, and the boarding pass will make security a breeze.
