Cheap European airlines to hook up with Europe-US 20k special
I'm trying to take advatage of the CO Europe special by giving some family members some free tickets for BRU-EWR, or LGW-EWR. The problem is that they are in MAD. The price for getting from MAD to BRU or LGW seems pretty high right now.
Can any European FT members suggest a better way to get to BRU or LGW? I thought of EasyJet, but they only go into Luton, which is a real pain in the a%% to get to LGW from. Are there any other value type airlines that I don't know about?

europebyair.com. A pass scheme ($90 per coupon) that I think might work for you.

I had to call the rewards desk and actually ask about the Europe special. I couldn't find it on the website either.

Virgin Express operates Madrid-Brussels route.

Air Europa has cheap fares from MAD to London Gatwick. ca 105 USD r/t with max 10 days stay (fare basis VSX10D). Cheapest Sabena r/t from MAD to BRU is 138 USD+tax.
Max stay 1 month, fare basis BSSES1. Must be ticketed 14 days before travel starts.

The details as far as I know are BRU, ZUR, or LGW to east coast U.S. for 20k miles. Must complete travel by December 12th.
