When do they look at waitlists?

When do they look at waitlists?
I know they look at 30 days from flight, when do they look next 25 days, 20 days, daily?

Got the tip from Cigarman this spring that they go at the 21, 14 and 7 day prior windows for allocating upgrades. And whatdya know, I got mine at the 7 day window.

I would have to agree, on an upcoming EWR-LGW trip I was upgraded on my outbound exactly at the 30 day mark, I did notice Z seats available and called CO, but no luck. Then at the 21 day mark, I called and was told yes, it just came through.

Thanks I guess upgrades are the same as the regular waitlist
